Hands of Ubuntu had an outreach programme in partnership with Konica Minolta Touch on 13 June 2014. The day saw the launch of a soup kitchen that attracted about 100 children and adults from the surrounding areas of Kya Sand and Msawawa informal settlement. A team from UCBC got down to some work in the morning, peeling vegetables and preparing the soup. A team of about 15 people from Konica Minolta Touch arrived later in the day with bakkie loads of goodies, and began distributing blankets and serving soup to those in attendance. The church is quite pleased and trusts that this is the beginning of a lasting relationship in changing the lives of people in our community.
